Fearon Hay Architects reimagined this traditional loft to maintain its wide-open feel while introducing private, functional spaces for a growing family. To bring their vision to life, they turned to Jaroff Studio for extensive custom metalwork and architectural glass fabrication.

We designed and built the two elevated, soundproof, glass-enclosed bedrooms that anchor the space. Each room rests atop a raised metal platform supporting a custom furniture-lifting mechanism—engineered by Jim Polk of Canstruct LLC.

Throughout the home, we crafted concealed ceiling tracks for privacy curtains, hand-patinated blackened stainless steel details, custom radiator-shelf combinations, and a 1,000-pound glass door enclosing the master suite. In the kitchen and study, our work included polished stainless steel cabinetry, a custom library ladder, wall door systems, and bespoke metal furniture—all tailored to the loft’s sophisticated yet utilitarian style.

Jaroff Studio’s contributions helped transform the loft into a seamless blend of openness, privacy, and finely executed craftsmanship.
