Monumental Stainless Steel Clock & Freestanding Sculptures
Design/Engineer, Engineer, Consult, Fabrication, Installation

During our multi-year relationship providing custom metal fabrication for artist R.M. Fischer, we fabricated a number of metal sculptures following Rector Gate. For the Massachusetts State House, we fabricated a sculptural four-faced clock out of varied textures of stainless steel and mesh that typifies Fischer’s public sculptures. The Betsy, crafted from decorative forged metals, including blackened steel, brass and stainless steel, is one of two freestanding works we made for Fischer. Evoking the more streamlined, polished style of Art Deco, this sculpture is in the contemporary art collection of the Brooklyn Museum.
