Sculptural Facade Screen and Security Barrier

We received a sculptural commission for this luxury residential building in Williamsburg. We were asked to provide custom metal fabrication that would serve as both a sculptural screen and a security barrier for the ground floor parking level. This massive building spans an entire city block and appears so imposing and heavy that the architect described it as a “battleship.” We lightened up the immense structure by creating “The Waves,” an original art piece fabricated from individual reflective discs that pull in light and other elements from the immediate neighborhood and constantly change as the viewer’s vantage point changes.
