Dazzling Centerpiece for a Fifth Avenue Residence
Inspired by the grand magnolia tree and rebirth, Peter Pennoyer Architects designed this eye-catching and alluring two-inch-thick cast glass centerpiece to be the focal point between the resident’s library and family room. Jaroff Studio was chosen to create this stunning masterpiece. We first carved the entire mural using oil-based clay in bas-relief. Once sculpted, we made a mold of the design and filled it with molten glass. The result is a dramatic organic crystalline aperture which could only be achieved through this leaded crystal portal.
